A Little About Pheabs
Pheabs was founded in 2018 by Daniel Tannenbaum who draws on more than 15 years of working in the payday loans industry across the UK and America.
Daniel has worked in every aspect of the payday loans business, including underwriting, customer services, customer scoring, development, marketing and more.
He has seen first-hand the value that having a payday loan can have, especially if you find that your next pay date is too far away and you need to pay a pressing bill or just stay ahead of your rent. Or even those who are caught up in the high cost of living or having to go to a friend’s birthday or bachelorette party and just being short a few hundred dollars.
Equally, Daniel has seen the other side of the coin (excuse the pun) and has spent hours and hours listening to customers and their financial troubles, being caught up in payday loan traps and in debt spirals that they cannot get out of.
Pheabs is passionate about helping people through its research, useful information and guides and beyond this, there is a burning desire to help people find the best loans and at the best rates, using a network of more than 50 lenders across the US and Canada which we constantly vet and review. And if the rate is not right for you, you should seek other low cost alternatives from credit unions, debt charities or speaking in confidence with family and friends.
We are involved with a number of local organisations including debt charities, chambers of commerce and select one main charity per year, with more than $25,000 being donated by Pheabs to The National Breast Cancer Foundation Inc.
How Did Pheabs Get its Name?
Pheabs was actually named after TV character Phoebe Buffay from the show Friends. The show is always playing in the background of my home and the nutty character is often referred to as Pheebs or Pheabs. And alas, that is how the name came about! Ironically, I actually prefer Seinfeld!

Pheabs offers a simple loan connection service — taking your loan requirements and matching them with the US-lender who is mostly likely to approve you and offer the best terms possible.
Complete our online loan request form in less than 5 minutes and you will receive a provisional quote on the screen — and you can proceed with the loan offer if you want to — with no fees and no impact to your credit score.
Further to some checks by the lender, successful applicants can receive money to their checking account within 24 hours, next business day or sometimes within 1 hour.

How Does Pheabs Make Money?
Pheabs may receive a commission from its partners if your loan application is successful and funded. We work with more than 50 direct lenders across the USA and Canada and our goal is to put you in touch with the lender who is most likely to approve you and offer you the most competitive rates
We do not charge any fees for using our service or for brokering the introduction, we simply take a fee from the lender or broker partner, but only if your application progresses.
You can have peace of mind that we will never take money from your account. We require your bank details in the application process but this is so the lender knows where to send your money if you have been accepted or approved and also carry out its sufficient checks.

How Do We Use Your Data?
When an application is made on Pheabs, it goes through our API which puts your details through 8,000 data points to connect you to the best lender possible on our panel. We take lots of different factors into consideration including the loan amount, time of application, credit history, demographic, income, employment status and more. You are presented with a live result on the screen and if you wish to proceed, you will continue to work with that direct lender thereafter. We do not use your data or sell it on after this transaction. We keep all data stored safely on our secured server and have important checks in place to maintain the security of your personal data.
